MORSE CODE

Now there’s a “dashing” good idea..

Yes I know, you are thinking o my not the dreaded Morse code.

But what’s the point in learning it?. Well Morse code or CW as you might know it as will travel a lot further than Telephony, in fact 10watts of CW can span the globe under the correct conditions, try and do that with 10watts of Telephony.

But, it’s not that hard to learn you know, so hare a few guidelines…

Morse Code as you all know consists of dots and dashes, but to learn this code you need to think of it as Dits and Dahs, after all when you hear it coming out your Radio it does not sound like dot, dash does it! no its Dits and dahs.

If you start thinking about each letter as dits and dahs you will program your brain to learn it as a rhythm, after all that’s exactly what it is (A Rhythm) Once you heard the letters enough times and you are reading it as Dits and Dahs you are well on your way.
